Sergey Shestakov CEO of Luxms Inc. earned his PhD in computer science at St. Petersburg State Technical University in 2001, and then obtained his Professional Project Manager (PMP) certification in 2004. Sergey was interested in creating an international, world class hi-tech company with R&D in St. Petersburg. In 2005, he gathered a team of bright professionals to establish Luxms, Inc.
Luxms Inc. is an independent software vendor focused on mobile solutions and web communications. For years, the company created custom software for large corporations. Luxms works with tier one Russian carriers, on projects ranging from multimedia marketing platform to web SIP soft phones.
In November 2012, Luxms launched two offerings for international customers:

The most important target of the business strategy was sustainability, that’s why Luxms started with custom solutions for large corporations. This business has long presales cycle – it may take 6-12 months to sign a contract, but once you start working with a corporate customer, understand its problems very well, and create value by solving these problems, you have a very stable business. Luxms has created a launch pad for mass market initiatives, assigning some of the resources to address new markets. Serg states: “in a bootstrapped company you have to manage its project portfolio very carefully, and always keep sharp focus on service quality for existing customers”.
