We all remember the lovable game of our youths, Pokemon, or how we used to collect holographic cards. On July the 6th, Nintendo reminded us of our love of Pokemon and here we are using our phones to catch monsters and also walk a bit around.
And Nintendo is having one of their best days in the last thirty years.

Since its launch on July 6th Pokemon GO amazed us with it’s incredible stats:
- The #1 free application on iOS and Google Play marketplaces
- Nintendo shares jumped by 24% in less than a week
- The estimated revenue is $1.6 million (US and iOS only)
And this is just 5 days from its big launch in US, expecting to go live worldwide.
In just this few days entrepreneurs are already coming up with ideas to tap this hype around the game and benefit from it. And redditors already come up with ideas to monetize this hype.
Some propose to buy a lure for your brick and mortar business with just few dollars, so you can attract Pokemon to a Poke Stop for 30 minutes, but you can also attract other people who can benefit from the effect. So if you are food truck owner you could buy a lure during lunch hour. Or if you are a coffee shop owner you can buy a lure during week-ends.
Others have already created products inspired by Pokemon Go, like the Glotrainer, and others are seeing it as a good content generator for blogs and Facebook pages.
This hype is at its start and we cannot predict if it’s going to last for long, but it would be a good idea to start benefit from it.
